The following figure shows the two ways to communicate with the server.

Note: Client and server may run on the same (localhost) or on different PCs (over TCP/IP).
The support of the web technology (http, html, xml) is an add-on to the standard 61850.
The demo server is an *.exe; *.dll is available, too.
